National Quality Framework
The National Quality Framework for Early Childhood Education and Care (NQF) is a set of national guidelines recently introduced in Australia for the childcare sector, including out of school hours care services such as Eaton Street Centre.
The NQF includes a national legislative framework, a National Quality Standard, a quality rating and assessment process and a national body to provide oversight of the system – the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA).
Eaton Street Centre is expected to be assessed and rated against seven national quality standards in 2013.
In the last review under the previous system, which was completed in March 2011, Eaton Street Centre received a ‘High Quality’ rating in all areas assessed by the National Childcare Accreditation Council.
